Flexible Paletten-Transportroboter für die Intralogistik auf der LogiMAT 2024
Munich, 29.02.2024 — The pioneer of intelligent transport robots in logistics – Pixel Robotics GmbH – will be presenting its innovative robots entirely navigated by artificial intelligence at the LogiMAT in Stuttgart from from March 19th to 21th, 2024. The robots have a modular and robust design, making them ideal for harsh logistics environments and also very cost-effective. The payback period is usually less than 1.5 years.
New: Intelligent, camera-based fork recognition:
As a special trade fair innovation, Pixel Robotics is presenting the intelligent, camera-based fork recognition system. This has been trained with thousands of images from a wide variety of environments in order to reliably recognize all types of forklift forks. At the same time, uneven floors do not lead to false triggering. This makes the system much more practical than conventional 3D sensors used in AGVs.
Pixel Robotics builds intelligent, perception-controlled robots that are tailored to intralogistics and recognize their environment with the help of artificial intelligence. This enables these robots to find their way safely even in rapidly changing environments. At the same time, processes can be automated quickly and easily without process changes or WMS integration.
The unique AI infrastructure creates a digital twin of the application area. Using this real-time twin, the robots from Pixel Robotics can seamlessly work alongside human colleagues – autonomous, safe, and with an unmatched flexibility and adaptability.
Special features of the Pixel PTs include:
- Aufnahme von Paletten von beliebigen Positionen: Es bestehen keinerlei Restriktionen derart, dass Paletten an einer bestimmten festen Position stehen müssen oder nur gewisse kleine Abweichungen zulässig sind.
- Picking up wrapped pallets: The AI uses cameras to recognize the foil as foil rather than an obstacle – this distinction allows the robot to cut through the foil while approaching the pallet and it does not have to stop. Conventional AMRs work with laser sensors, which do not differentiate between the type of obstacle.
- Intelligent parking according to rules: Like a forklift driver, the Pixel PT does not simply park a pallet in a fixed place, but takes into account how the pallets are positioned in the surrounding area, maintains defined distances or connects to pallets that have already been parked.
- Obstacle avoidance: Intelligent perception of the environment allows the Pixel PT to recognize whether an obstacle is a person, a pallet, or another industrial truck and as well if the obstacle is moving or standing still. Obstacles are then treated differently depending on the object and the state of movement. On a narrow track, for instance, a parked forklift truck is bypassed, whereas an oncoming moving forklift truck would be given right of way.
